Shipping a puppy is a simple but costly. We do
not make money on shipping
We ship through several different airlines. We
choose the airline with the more direct flight
with less layovers.
We will try to make the flight convienient to you
when we can.We ship the puppy out of
Oklahoma city. When payment is paid in full (
note checks, money orders and such has to
allow 2 weeks to clear our bank because of all
of the scams) we purchase a flight. The puppy
will come in to the nearest airport to you that
ships pets( most larger airports). The puppy will
be checked by a Vet. He wil arrive in a travel
crate the same day he is sent( it only takes a
few hours and is much like a car ride to the
puppy. He will have a sample of his dog food
and his puppy papers with him. The older a
puppy gets the more it costs for shipping and
extra shots so we like to ship the puppy as
close to 8 weeks as possible.
Below s a copy of the flight conformation and
info that you will recieve when your flight s
booked. You must call the airline and find out
where the puppy is being picked up in your
airport.

A Health Certificate issued by a veterinarian dated within 10 days of travel is
required. Health Certificates must be issued in the country of origin.
Shipping charges are based on the total weight of the animal and the kennel and
must be prepaid by the shipper. Rates given are estimates only and are subject
to change until the time of Continental's acceptance.
Additional charges may be incurred during transit due to delays beyond
Continental?s control (i.e. weather conditions, air traffic delays and
mechanical cancellations). Any additional charges must be paid by the receiver
prior to release.
Continental Airlines supports the recommendation of the American Veterinarian
Medical Association (AVMA) to not accept animals that have been sedated.
Continental will not knowingly accept a dog or cat that has been sedated and
accepts no liability for the death or sickness of an animal caused by any drug.
Continental Airlines' consulting Veterinarian recommends that customers shipping
small or toy breeds that are less than 12 weeks old and less than 3 lb (approx
1.5 kg) follow these precautionary steps to ensure their safe transportation:
- Do not vaccinate these puppies within 3 days of transport
- Do not worm these puppies within 3 days of transport
- Ensure that no medical procedures are performed on the puppy within 3 days of
transport
- Use honey or White Karo syrup for "carbohydrate loading" for the 24-hour
period just prior to shipping (to help maintain glucose levels in the puppy
while in transit).
Continental's consulting veterinarian recommends these steps because a puppy
less than 3 lb (approximately 1.5 kg) and 16 weeks of age cannot store glycogen
in its liver which means it may not be able to regulate its own sugar or glucose
levels. Lowered glucose levels in these pups could result in hypoglycemic
episodes including seizures, reduction of body temperature (hypothermia) and
could severely compromise the health of your pet.
Continental is committed to the safe and humane transport of all animals, and we
believe that following the above steps will help ensure that your pet has a
positive experience.
The shipping container provided must be of sturdy construction to sufficiently
contain and protect the animal during transport. Continental observes the IATA
Live Animal Regulations.
Hard plastic kennels are recommended. Kennels must be large enough to allow
animals to stand and turn unrestricted, and must have at least 1 inch of
clearance from the top of the head or ears (whichever is higher) to the top of
the kennel. For International transport, there must be 3 inches of clearance.
Kennels must contain a food and water tray attached to the inside of the door
(no water bottles, please) and there must be absorbent material on the floor.
Kennels must be ventilated on at least three sides domestically, or four sides
for international travel.
Top loading kennels, and the kennel brands Petzazz and Nylabone are not accepted
by Continental at this time.
Animals must be accepted, paperwork completed, and the animal signed off at the
applicable drop-off location at OKC. Please note, the drop-off locations vary
by time of day, and the lead time required to process the animal varies by
location.
